Comments: as usual, dificulty regulating breathing at the start. Had to stop 3 times to relax breathing and find pace. What would you do differently?: Train more w/ breathing on every stroke. Even when I found my pace I wasn't able to go to everyone rotation as i do in training. Transition 1
Comments: decent transition - no signficant problems drank some gatorade What would you do differently?: wear watch so I can get actual time. Contemplate necessity of wearing bike gloves and bikr shorts for this distance - 16 miles. not drink gatorade Bike
Comments: long up hills. Ate a power gel 3/4 of the way thru. What would you do differently?: get clipless petals since i can't afford a carbon bike! don't eat power gel! Transition 2
Comments: guess it's the only advantage to not having clipless petals, able to rack the bike and immediately run. drank more gatorade What would you do differently?: not drink gatorde Run
Comments: Got stomach cramp. Think it has the power gel &/or Gatorade What would you do differently?: drink only water Post race
Warm down: hug the kids, took pictures! What limited your ability to perform faster: stomach cramps Event comments: Registration could've been more organized, otherwise well run, good course markings, helpful volunteers, beautiful secenry with a challenging bike course.
