Guess I feel my age as well. After pretty much any long or intense weekend workout during HIM training, at least here where it's hotter than h..., a nap is going to happen at some point later in the day. It was getting to where I was pretty much useless for anything except work or training those last few weeks before taper. I think one day I slept 14 hours. There was some jet lag and post-Calgary fatigue in there as well, maybe.
But geez.....only two weeks after my last race and I'm already bored and kind of climbing the walls. My house can't take any more cleaning or reorganization! Sleep quality is crap, too, unless I swim. One of several reasons I pretty much swim the same amount year-round, in addition to it being free cool time (when I don't have to pay for AC! ), and not wanting to lose my feel for the water. I just detest that awkward feeling when I haven't swum for a while. |
