Now that they allowed the Red Sox to break their damn curse.(only because they got tired of the curse). The Yankee's will regain their prominence and win the World Series again.

Football doesn't have spring training, per se. What other sports are there other than football and the triathlon disciplines? Although, I once heard rumor that there was an ice sport named hockey at one time.

As long as I live, I'll never get tired of Yankees fans talking about the Sox being the World Series champs.

I'm just an Orioles fan, but I know it's 21 days until pitchers and catchers report for the O's.

Just read a rumor on the O's website that they completed a trade for Sammy Sosa.....don't yet know if that would be great, good, average or bad news...

Peter Angelos has a history of spending big money on old superstars and not getting the production out of them that is necessary to climb out of the American League basement. Their farm system is a disaster, that is why the Rochester Red Wings dumped them and became the Minnesotta Twins AAA Team. In other words I think the chances of Sammy Sosa helping the Orioles is about as good as me winning my age group in a triathlon. Zilch.Kevin

Baseball and golf are the only 2 "sports" where professional athletes can compete whilst wearing their own personal "beer kegs," a la Fernando Valenzuela, Roger Clemens, and that Craig Stadler guy they call the "Walrus" (that should be a tip-off). Though I admit Roger has slimmed down a bit, I suspect it's because he's on the "Texas Armadillo Diet." Ever notice when the sports programs show the pitchers jogging in the outfield, they always look like your fat brother-in-law on his way down to the 7-11 for a carton of smokes and a 6-pack?

Football linemen aren't the svelt, either. But, the difference is that they have to do more than just walk around.

And they are running the 40 in the 4 second range. Simple amazing that an Ice Cream truck can move so fast.

Also an O's fan - not real happy about O's strategy with picking up Sammy.  Its nice to have a heavy hitter - Camden will suit him well.  Unfortunately, once again, the O's are trying to "score more runs than the other team" instead of limiting the number of runs the other team scores.  Please get some freaking pitching already.

I think the statment that pissed me off the most about Sammy coming to Baltimore and I forget who in the O's management made the comment was, "He's gonna fill every seat in the ballpark".  Once again goes to show that the O's are content with another mediocre season as long as the seats are filled.  That's bullshit.
