Been peeking at the blogs and a lot of good solid training going on for MOO MOO.  So, congrats on that.  From here on out, just remember the hay is in the barn and be especially careful out there.  Time to wrap up in bubble wrap and get this show started!  Get your rest cuz the hard part is over!

My inner donkey was taking a nap.  He has been worked over pretty good.  I will feed him ice cream when I get home to reward him though.

And yeah, kind of starting the taper but lots of bad mojo going around lately.  Found out my friend who missed MOO last year due to a spill at Dairyland Dare broke her arm on Rimrock and it now DNS.  Just want everyone to be careful and get to race day.  From there, knock your crazy arses out and do whatever.

Well - I had a big surprise yesterday.  It was my last big ride prior to IM Mooo: a 3'fer around the IM loop.  During loop 1, about 3 miles from Cross Plains, I got the most incredible side, back, and stomach cramp one could image.  I curled up on the side of the road like a baby for about an hour - shaking, chills, nausua, you name it ... It was pain that was more intense than my back pain prior to surgery.

Long story short -- After spending the remainder of the day in urgent care and Meriter, I was told I had a kidney stong.  First time experince which I hope I never repeat.  After visiting the doctor today, he suggested that I try to pass it naturally before doing anything invasive.

Maybe a few donk kicks could get this thing moving...  Otherwise you may hear a 'Kramer' like scream on the IM course.. aka Sienfeld episode.

Yes, Stongs are much worse than stones.  ART worked like a charm.  It was amazing how quickly my shoulder got better following a few treatments.  Now, if only ART could do something for my stongs...

Oh no!  Gretchen, right?  I met her at at the IM course ride a few weeks ago.  Such a bummer!  Tell her I'm sorry to hear about it!  Oh, and tell her I crashed at the Dare this year.  Because I did.  Fortunately no injuries other than a bit of a bruise on my hip.
