I'm confused, here. McDonald's invested heavily in Chiptole. Found this when I searched google for chipotle mcdonald's: McDonald's first invested in Steve Ells's 15 Chipotle restaurants in 1998. MacDonalds bought Chipotle (or at least a large chunk of it) a few years ago, but it started as an independant thing in colorado. I think Taco Bell already fills that niche, though. I'm always sort of surprised that McDonald's hasn't managed to screw Chipotle up and it is reasonably healthy and good. |
