Chipotle is the giver of life.  I am powered by carnitas burritos and the Earth's yellow sun.

Did we come up with a secret handshake yet?

Have to have some way of separating out the true believers.

I'm confused, here. McDonald's invested heavily in Chiptole. Found this when I searched google for chipotle mcdonald's:
McDonald's first invested in Steve Ells's 15 Chipotle restaurants in 1998.

Doesn't really detract from my enjoyment...it's still good food

Tis true.  MacDonalds bought Chipotle (or at least a large chunk of it) a few years ago, but it started as an independant thing in colorado.

To be honest, I'm grateful Mickey D's purchased it, because otherwise there wouldn't be so many of them to spread the goodness.

i'm not arguing that McDonald's is a majority owner.  I am just baffled at the comparison of McDonald's as a fast-food saturated fat-fest to Chipotle and all of its greatness.

Ah..I completely understand that. I think Taco Bell already fills that niche, though. I'm always sort of surprised that McDonald's hasn't managed to screw Chipotle up and it is reasonably healthy and good.
