The Air Show...anyone get as geeked up as I do?

After the Sprint at PP this weekend I'm hauling butt back here to get on the mystic blue for a cruise during the airshow - corporate  summer event.

Definitely.  I'll be there this weekend checking them out.  Couple years ago, I was at a Cubs game, and a couple jets flew over.  They were so low I thought they were going to stop the game.  It was like they purposely "buzzed the tower."

or at least lunch!  training down here is a little tough as I have an hour train ride west, thought there is a nice 2 mile loop i've run before west of the river. But I know i can't  keep up with you Tony.

 I used to sit on my back porch and  watch the planes zoom by on Saturdays.  It was great.  Now I can hear them from my building too!

Yep, it is pretty cool to see the planes that close and feel the power of them. 

I'm at 525 W. Monroe (near Union Station). 

If you go early enough it will probably be open.  The biggest issue is getting down there as you won't be able to ride your bike on the path as it will be full of people.  I bet the boats really don't start coming in there until 8ish. 

Love planes, hate crowds. The crowds bit wins out so I don't go. Same reason I haven't been to the Taste in years (well, the cost of that one as well).

Wife was downtown yesterday for some charity function (her boss is on the board and they gave all the "real powers behind the throne" a day in the city so the assistants could all meet each other). She called in the afternoon on her mobile just as one of the jets blasted past.

Small world.  I work for GATX.  We just moved there.  Right across from my health club!
