Subject: RE: bad moodFor me, it's usually either (a ) go to bed and try again tomorrow (a little early for that today however ) or (b ) force myself to write a list of 12 things I'm grateful for in my life. Fake stuff doesn't count. It has to be something I really am grateful for. I can almost always get to 12, which surprises me on the days I need that most.
Oh the other thing that works is hang with friends and watch a movie. It is so rare that I'm just vegging I forget I need that sometimes. One time I was all irritable and unhappy with life and had the choice between hanging out with a girl friend of mine to "Talk About It" or going and watching a goofy kids' flick with a friend of mine and his daughter. Man was that the right medicine.
So considering it's too early for bed and you'll scoff at the Grateful List thing, I'd say watch a movie. Nothing dark. Jackie Chan? |
