Subject: RE: Turning 50Turned 53 in August and just getting back in shape after a 20+ year layoff. Did body building, running, tri's and biathlons in my past. Word of advice. Be careful especially with the run and swim (injuries). Slow and build up. Age is a "B" Recover time is a bit longer than in younger years (just my personal experience). Running: do walk/run to begin and take it slow. Caution with the swim when using weights. Just blew out both of my shoulders (shoulder impingent syndrom) because did too much, too soon...thought I was young again. Having to rest, but I'll be ok. Make sure you get enough rest and sleep.
