Hey everyone!  Who's up for the swim challenge in the Mid-Atlantic region?  Last year we made our goal and we'll do it again this year!

My goal for December is 14,000 meters.

I'm going to go with 13000 yards, which is dangerously close to 1/3 of my lifetime swimming yardage total.

If going by the USATRIATHLON.ORG regions then New Jersey is in the Mid Atlantic.

I only swim once a week on Wednesday mornings.  I will challenge myself to do 6500yds for December.

I've been completely screwing around lately and need to do a challenge.  Put me down for 15000 yards in December.  Also, let me know if there is anything else I need to do other than post this message, to be on the team.

I'd like to join in, but I'm afraid I'm going to be complicated and pledge 9 hours.

I practice with a team, but our distances often vary and practice is the only time I have access to the pool.  This way I'll have to go twice a week between December 3 and the 21st (when the pool closes for the holidays).  It'll really get my butt in gear.

No problem using hours instead of distance.  It's just as easy since your logs track that too.

Nope, nothing else you need to do to join.  Just post your distance swam at the end of the week and smack talk the other teams.

I can pledge to double last month's swim hours of 3h25m and go for 6h50m total.
It will be difficult with a vacation and potential pool closing happening this month but I think I need this kick in the butt.
Thanks!

thanks for letting me know about it... just found out i'll be a "swim orphan" as of the 20th... so i have to get my time in early (unless someone will adopt me)! and my vacay from the 9th-16th takes 8 days out of the remaining time.
well i put in one hour today, so just 5h 50m to go!

Mary, we're posting the first three days separately.  I made a new thread for posting your totals for the first week.  And, I'll try to start the posting thread on Sundays, but you can check in on Monday if you're swimming on Sunday.
