So......  
HTFU - Harden the $%#^ Up.  originated  (I think ) in the Australian comedy sketch by Ronnie Johns, was taken by Australian Cyclist Stuart O'Grady and made into Wrist bands  (Al La Live strong bands ) for his team in the Tour De France. 
  
Since then has been used by cyclists, endurance, triathlon teams to "encourage" getting on with the task at hand and staying strong etc etc. 
  
you can get the bands  ( I have one )  it kind of works for me when   
a. feel like staying in one my couch and not training  
b. feel like not working as hard as I really should   
c. during longer sessions/events to push mentally - amazing how a little sentence said at the right time can have a big affect 
  
plus it works to boost the post count, so absolutely no stupid question here, thanks :- )
