Short pool swim this morning with a focus on relaxed 50m laps to practise balance and a long body in the water. Practised TI drill 1.

Felt great after 3 days on a ship with only 2 tiny pools!

a judicious elbow to the ribs to turn him over? Would that work?

I had an unplanned rest day yesterday, in spite of my bold goals I was just too sore after physical therapy to do much of anything. Sigh.... So today's scedule looks sort of familiar.

run -for time rather than speed -just 20 minutes of jogging with no walking. That's the plan, anyway.
upper body yoga
circuit training

It's raining here now, but I was able to ride 18 miles early this morning. Tonight is masters swim, so let it rain. For at least one day this spring, my life is in harmony with nature.

Swimming 1/4 mile warmup
5x50's @ 50-55 seconds each with 30-35 seconds rest in between
1/4 mile cooldown

Pilates 1 hour

Evelyn

PS>Sometimes when spouses snore it's time to take a road trip separately. I find that I sleep so much better without the better half snoring and moving and getting up in the middle of the night.

Well, I threw my running and swimming clothes in the ole gym bag today so I can do either. Since I only ran 30 minutes last night (made it 3.1 mi after the 30 min bike), I really ought to run some tonight in addition to swimming. I guess I'll be doing another brick tonight. I certainly don't want to swim after running because I don't want to drown!

TriMom217 - 2004-05-13 5:18  Anyone have any cures for a spouse's snoring? QUOTE]

If my hubby is snoring, 99% of the time he is on his back.  I just turn his head to the side and it usually stops.  If not, I WAKE THE CLOWN UP AND MAKE HIM MOVE!!

Anyway, finally got my first good workout of the week in today.  12.4 miles run.

7:30 speed intervals for 30 mins, Core training for 30 mins, between being taxi for my kid and going to work, planned on a bike after work but have to have the front end of my truck worked on before it falls off! I hate when thing like that get in the way of training :-)

It was brick day for me today - just started adding these in once a week. I did spinning class for 45 minutes and then ran 2 miles. The bricks are going easier and easier for me. Running is always hard for me so that it is not really significantly worse to run after getting off the bike - AND then I have an excuse for why I am running so funny and slow for about the first mile! I so find that I can pick up my pace much better during the run within a brick than just running alone - so figure!
