Ken Lay Dies

Granted facing 30 years (and probably dying in prison) on a conviction is probably enough to give him a heart attack, but at least this way his wife probably gets a fat life insurance check now...

Note: I'm not completely heartless, I do feel for his wife and children/family.

Cocaine, some migraine meds, some asthma meds.  You'd have to take a ton to make sure it would work, and you'd probably have to have some underlying heart disease already.

I know it's crazy, but I think he just had a heart attack.

Suicide was my first thought as well when I saw the news flash come through.  But, when I thought about it, I never truly got the impression that he felt any remorse over what happened so, I am guessing just the stress of the whole "going to prison" thing finally got him.

I do feel bad for his family, though. 

I'm going to go way out on a limb here and say it was heart disease.

That depends on your perspective.  When I heard about his death, my first thought was "Oh, man.  I would rather have served my sentence here rather than in the afterlife."  Who's to say whether he will get off "easy".  Who knows what happens when we die.  

In cases like this, I need to believe in a kind of karma/judgement/reconciliation period for all of us, but esp for people who went to such extremes.

No, just coldhearted. I've been called that before.
