Sat 8/9 Ride at ILRA/Kensington

I'll be at the pond by 8am for an hour swim then on the bike at 9am sharp for a 2 hr ride. I need to be on the road home by 11:15 at the latest. So hopefully the posse will be ready by 9 (by past experiences that will NEVER happen ) . But I'm in for sure.

Haha, what could you possibley be reffering to?? You could just ride laps around the parking lot until everyone else gets their sh$t together.


Ryan and I are considering coming on Saturday. Depends on how late of a night Friday is.

Come on youngster's you can make it by 9 or so. I always have my cell, we can swing by and meet you if needed.

Of course with as fast as Jazz rides she'll probably pass us anyways. We'll come back for Yeats, if he hasn't attained Jazz with numbers speed yet.

Ummm...you should check his logs...cause he's got me beat. I, on the other hand, am still very sore from Steelhead, so I will gladly draft We will try to make it- especially for some swimming.

If I remember correctly Jazz you made it crystal clear you don't mind it up front and therefore are stuck with the job....sorry for your luck.

If we can cut one of your legs off and maybe put a pirate patch on your dominate eye, we may stand a chance to hang with you.

Mac, I'm going to see if I can get some coverage and get out there by the latest 8:30, hopefully sooner.

My wife and I are going down to spring mill pond on Sat also. She is going to do her 1st tri on 8/16 Sanford and we are doing a swim, bike, run. Probably not as fast as you guys but none the less we will be there @ 8am ish. I would like to meet some of you guys. I drive a white Saab so if you see 2 strangers on the beach or parking lot my name is Jason and hers is TJ. I have met Jazz before but she said 9 so we will probably be on the bikes already. look forward to possibly meeting you guys.

Jason I drive a Silver Dodge Ram with a Leer cap, and ride a yellow Softride. Kinda of hard to miss the bike as there aren't many around.

Great look forward to meeting you all. We will be going a little slow since my wife will be riding my road bike that is to big for her. It will also be her big swim test with no wetsuit.

Dammit. I may come as well. Lemme see what the family has going on. I don't want to go far or fast but I do need to swim.

No swim for me, but I'll be there and ready to ride by 9.

Ha. It's just like Steelhead- you have a choice. You can play by the rules, or you can draft. That's why I practice NOT drafting so much, because I know what it's like to be on a crowded course, and I don't want to accidentally group ride.

After a slow recovery week from Steelhead I'm ready for a nice brick so as long as I get clearance from the wife I'm in. Couple questions since I've never joined in on the ILRA fun before. Do you need a state park sticker to get in? What's the water like, do you all wear wetsuits or is it too hot for the wetsuit?

Yes, you need a state park sticker, or pay a day fee of somewhere between $5-10 (I don't know for sure). The water is really nice, you can wear a wetsuit or choose not to, up to you. I don't get hot in my wetsuit, usually, so I like wearing it. You can also stop and take it off if you want, because we usually do a few laps of the pond.

So we're meeting to swim at 8, is that correct?
