New episode.

"The Long Con"

Ladies should love it as it is a Sawyer-centric episode with lots of Josh Holloway.

From the previews it looks like something happens to Sun, although what it looks like in the preview and what actually happens are usually pretty different.

If it's more Eko you want, just get the first couple seasons of Oz.  I've seen more of him than I think I ever would have wanted to, if you know what I mean.

No, I'm not interested in the actor - I want Eko the character!

And I know enough to stay away from man-prison-shows.

courtney_leone - 2006-02-09 10:48 AM I'm pretty disappointed Sawyer turned to (or never left) the dark side! I have to admit, he's one of my favorites. Verrrry disappointed

I was happy to see it myself, I thought he had gotten soft in recent episodes. Glad to see him get his edge back. I'm getting to like Evil Charlie as well. Certainly adds to the conflict and the intrigue on the island.

The whole "Charlie as a dark character in a hood" aspect made me think of a young Anakin and Palpatine.  This is going to be an interesting development.  I'm glad that they have started to shift focus from an "us vs them" perspective back to an "us vs us" perspective.

More of an "us vs us vs Them#1 vs possible Them #2" etcetera. Laughing

Maybe the island will blow up - oops, then there wouldn't be a story. Sorry, I couldn't help it.  Because it's Lost, there's going to be some weird, unexpected twist. As far as Charlie and Sawyer, it's nice to see someone standing up to the unappointed government of Jack and Locke. Ooo, I love this show!

Chances are nothing will happen at first, and we might find out a few episodes later what the result was.

rbschlesinger - 2006-02-09 2:47 PM Jack Bauer would not like Sawyer having all the guns.

You're right, but:

1.  Jack Bauer wouldn't care because he would point his finger at Sawyer with his thumb up like a gun and Sawyer would wet himself.  Then Kate would fall in love with Jack only to find out that he's still in love with Audrey.

2.  Jack Bauer wouldn't have let Sawyer get a gun in the first place.

3.  Jack Bauer have gotten off the island in 24 hours.

What did you think of Hurly's comment when he & Sayid are sharing a romantic moment on the beach listening to Glen Miller (who went missing i 1945 when his plane went down). Sayid wondered where the radio signal could be coming from and Hurly said "or when"?

I think it was a joke meant to play on one of the many rumors about the show (ie purgatory, time warp). But the idea that they are in a different time was dismissed by Damon Lindelof. That's probobly why Hurley said it instead of someone else and then said he was just kidding.

Yeah, I think I heard that too actually. It was also interesting that the diner Sawyer and the other con man meet at is the same one where Kates mom works. Another link...

I've never seen an episode of this show, but yet I keep hearing more and more about it from people whose opinions I respect.

Should I make it a point to rent the first seasons and watch it while I'm on my trainer rides? Is the show that good?

Steve

YES! That's how I got hooked, I was a casual fan until a co-worker loaned me her DVD set. Plays like a 20-hour movie.
