Heaving a sigh.... I'm feeling really low-energy this morning. So, I'll start with yoga. That always helps me get some focus. Okay.... Okay... there's a plan written down somewhere. WHere is it?????

yoga for abs, again. I could work on my abs all day every day -and probably should, given their appearance.
step class
medium bike ride -which means approximately 1 hour

Have a great training day, sweeties!

Swam 1500 yards this morning.

This evening I plan on a group ride with a local bike shop. Hopefully they will show me the ins and outs of the sport. Really need help with the gears and when to shift. I know it is probably practice, but at least they'll give me a few good tips.

Today is grocery shopping day BUT I'm going to sneak something it during lunch. It's recovery week, too, thankfully. There's a bunch of runners at work who go running MWF, so I'll see how far they're going today and may join them. Otherwise, I'll do weights in the gym.

It's a cleaning, shopping, getting back into the grove of the week day - but I hope to get something at the gym in! Made a record for myself yesterday - biked the 13 miles (without the kids in tow - thank heavens!). My goal was about 9 - but did the whole 13 instead - felt pretty good!

Way to go all you early bird workout people! I'm impressed and inspired! Gonna try that 5AM thing again tomorrow, I think!

Have a great day everyone! Sue Ellen

I need 2 days after Saturday's 10K run to rehabilitate my sore heel. Going to the orthopedic specialist tomorrow, hopefully for a cure, or at least a band-aid approach. I'm not willing to stop running for 8 weeks like my doctor suggested. Possibly a cortisone shot will help and then I'll get the required rest at the end of the season.

Max,

Be careful. Make sure its not your achilles tendon. If you don't rest it, you'll be out for longer than 8 weeks!!!!

I don't think it is Evelyn...the only pain is along the bottom of my heel right where it curves to the back of my foot, nothing extending up the back of my leg at all. When it first happened, it took several days for the pain to lessen so I could run again. Now it feels better after one day of rest. I'm hoping that's a good sign at least!

Max,
Hopefully it's not plantar fasciitis (http://heelspurs.com/index.html). I know an Ironman triathlete that is taking a year off of running training to recover from his (extreme case).

I'm planning on a 2,500 yd. swim tonight. It is supposed to be rainy and dreary the rest of the week in Northern Illinois. I hope to get a few runs in.

my schedule is ridiculously easy this week, a recovery week. So my workouts are the kind that makes you wonder if it's worth getting changed for, but I did it anyhow.

AM: swim 750 yards
PM: 10 mile bike
