Subject: carrying water on 60+ min runs? This weekend will be my first ever 60 minute run, and I've been really enjoying my long runs, I look forward to them all week. In what passes for winter around here, there's not much need for water on shorter runs, but I find myself wanting some water after about 45 minutes, and in the summer I will definitely need hydration on longer runs outdoors because it gets HOT.
How do you carry water on a run and how much do you carry? I just bought a runner's waist pack thingy to put cell phone and ID in (the pack is designed for no bounce, like the fuel belts ), so I can clip stuff to the belt of that I suppose, but am not keen on the idea of holding a 20 oz bottle in my hand for an hour....do you just get used to it? Do you take a fuel belt (isn't that just for gels? )? Am I just being lame wanting water on such a short run?
I'm so ignorant. *sigh* Thanks for any light shed Edited by madeye 2005-01-21 4:05 PM
