Hey Team -
I am Stacie. I just got out of the challenge in January that kept me moving each day of the month. I did a lower calorie/lower fat and no sugar diet with my hubby per his doctor so this month we are upping the calories again and trying to keep the weight off. For January, I focused on walking, biking, strength and core. Again this month I am going for strength with the majority of it being in P90X. Then will be adding a few days of running and even a few days of biking. I am being conservative on those to see how they interact with the P90X since it is at least an hour a day 6 days a week. Right now I am not sure what I am doing this year as far as races if anything since I am really busy with work right now and I know it isn't an excuse but I need to find time for home life as well. No kids, but a loving husband who is finally home for a while after being on the road a LOT in the past few years.

Let's kick butt in February - can't wait.

Hi, Team!  I'm Mina.  This will be my 2nd season of tris, but since I recently had knee surgery, I think I might top out at Oly this year and be conservative getting back into the groove.  I'm 8 weeks from surgery and still in PT so there's no running for me right now.  Since I'll be hitting the pool with Masters twice a week, I'm using this challenge to rekindle my love with the bike, and in FRIGID Massachusetts, that means drainer at home or spin at the gym.   I'm not quite sure whether my bike goal is a good challenge or too conservative, but I don't want to risk setting recovery back, so it is what it is.

Oh, and now for the important stuff: I'm not big on post padding, but will do my best to keep up with a chatty group if that's what this turns out to be.  (And PS - tasers and Kisses don't mix!)

Hey Team!I'm Emma and this is my first year of triathlons. I am in college and I attend Clemson University. GO TIGERS!!!!!!!! I had to drop out of the January challenge after getting sick but I am finally healthy again and really excited for this challenge. My first sprint will be in May but I have a 10k at the end of March so my love this month is going to be running even though i have more of a love/hate relationship with running. Good Luck everyone with you goals this month!

Hey Team! I'm with you as well. I'm Melissa. 1st yr medical student at the UofA in Edmonton, AB. Former competitive swimmer turned triathlete in Jan 2008. This year so far I'm doing Vancouver HM, Calgary HIM and possibly the Royal Victoria Mary.

Right now I'm focusing on running...I actually like it now...never thought I would get here 8 months ago haha. I think my goal is to get over 100km for the first time in a month! We will see what happens!

Hi everyone!  I'm James.  I live in Victoria, BC and this season will be my first one back since I did Ironman in 2007.  I'm looking forward to rocking the bike this month.  My plan for the season is to keep things short.  I'm planning on a few sprints and olympic distance races and then maybe rounding out the season with a half marathon.

    I'm still trying to convince myself to commit to the marathon...I'm moving to Victoria this summer to do a project at the UofVic. So I will have plenty of time to run around and convince myself that I need another trip to Victoria to tie me over if Edmonton decides to get nasty early...haha

    Hi All!  Name is Jim.  Running is my love this month but am going to include swim, bike and weight loss.  Working my way back from knee and ankle injuries that sidelined me for over a year.  During that year I got FAT...I mean really FFAATT.  Coming back slow so the miles or times wont be very impressive but I will be consistent.  Hoping to cross the Clydesdale line (downhill not up) this month (9 pounds to go).

    If I don't post, it isn't cause I don't love you all....just crazy busy with work but I will try.  Maybe my 4th goal should be post count on this thread....

    Joe here and a little secret that is going to help with this challenge for us - I'm an Aussie so enjoying the tail end of summer throughout this challenge - no winter here at all.  Hopefully enough to give us a leg up on the other teams.

    Running is my old love which I'm trying to get back with this month.  About to head out for the first run in half an hour to get it started.  Feeling so good about this one about to head to the shops later this week for a new pair of shoes.

    And let the games begin!  What do folks have on tap for today... or for the week?

    Today:  Warm up with my #1 Love (cycling), 20 min PT routine for my knee and maybe a pilates class if I don't feel as sluggish after work as I do right now... this is *definitely* a multiple cup of coffee day.

    1) What kind of tires do you have that work well on the snowmobile trails?  (I'm scared to ride around in the city when there's snow on the street - I go skidding everywhere!)
    2) What's your winter bike gear?  (I'm hoping to take my bike out before the challenge is up, but I'm not quite sure what I can wear to make Boston Feb temps tolerable.)

    Today is a 45 min trainer ride and a 50 min run.

    I may defer my run till later in the week though as my right leg has been having some issues.  The bike is what is being measured though for the challenge so I will make sure I get it in.  Plus biking doesn't seem to aggravate my leg.
