Subject: RE: GPS watch recommendation for a runner?I have the 305, my husband has the 405. His looks and feels like a watch, mine definitely doesn't. The 405 has a shorter battery life than the 305, and you can't turn it off (you can turn off the GPS feature, but not the watch ) so you have to charge it every time you want to use it. The bezel dial can be a little annoying if you don't lock it (he frequently finds it switched onto swedish mode ). Otherwise the features are all similar and he really likes that it weighs half as much as mine does. He doesn't do tris - just long distance running/cycling. As long as it's fully charged, it'll last though a 4 hour marathon (probably more, we just haven't gone much longer than that ). |
