My wife and I watch this show on Mondays and we like. It actually looks like it would be a tough show to be on. But I always wonder if while the contestants appear to be sleeping out in the elements, or are they secretly going to a hotel every night like their host surely does???

Yes- we have been watching this and like it. I hope the Alabama team wins!! I do think they are staying out there because they are all starving.

But it is a very commercial show between Procter and Gamble and all the Bear Grylls products.

I do not like the reward meal one team gets. I think this is a 'can you survive the wilderness' test, not 'can you deal with head-games'.

My family really likes it. The cheesy part is where Bear has to go down and save them every episode and he does it in slow motion running down a mountain. Overall some really good advice on wilderness survival. The head games are there to make it interesting or most people won't watch. There are some really weak teams there... the black couple, the mother and daughter pop in my mind.

The two teams of guys and the father son seem pretty strong and the teams to beat.

As the fog cleared, the buoy that I first saw earlier in the morning was just the first marker in a very long line of buoys that stretched across the lake like a runway for a 747 jetliner.
