Tri retail is a tough route to go and 10 years is a pretty good run.

Square Lake long course bit the dust as well.

I figure it's supply and demand. There are now so many races, folks have more choices so only the strong survive.

I didn't know about the declining registration numbers. In addition to the greater supply, I also think that it's declining as a fad and being replaced by mud runs, crossfit competitions, etc.  So maybe it's just normalizing?

I buy a lot of my stuff online, so unless we're talking about bikes - any bike/tri retailer would suffer if their main customer is anything like me.  Well that and I have given up on tris. I just can't be bothered to do the swimming anymore.   

Lots of things I am sure. I was also really sad to discover that our last thread from May, until you posted this.  So, thanks!  I moved to a new job in May and my IP address is from Missouri, so at work (my main BT time...) I was seeing the Missouri thread. I just figured out how to add Minnesota back to my list, so I blame myself a little.
