9.16.17 Sunny Saturday!

2000m of swimming this AM. Had planned to do 3K, but was told I had to be out by 11 so they could start Zorb balls for PTA Family Fun Day. So did my workout while the balls were being inflated.

I always miss fall weather, leaves, etc.--we don't have anything like that here. Fall here is typhoon season (violent rain and thunderstorms, muggy, windy, hot); winter is about as close as we get to "fall"--hot but dry, with maybe a few weeks of "cool"-ish mornings (low 70's); spring is very hot and very humid; summer is very hot and very wet. Did get to enjoy some early fall weather in Tennessee when I wasn't too sick. Despite the approaching hurricane, weather was actually beautiful all but the day I arrived.

First post in a long time. It took my 8 year old to get me back into training and out of the gym. He/We ran his first 5K today in 28:04 and won his age group. HE is already look for race number 2.
