Subject: RE: 06.25.2019 Top O'The Tuesday to You Ow! That sounds like what we used to (in high school swimming )--call an NDE "near death experience" workout ). Don't think I could keep that up either for so many repeats. Big gear/low cadence is another kind of intensity. Suspect my coach will have me doing more of it as bike strength/power has always been my weakness.
Trainer ride here (61 minutes ) but not nearly as intense--3 X 7 minutes at about 85-90%. I'm going to go back to working with my coach again in July and will see how that goes. Mostly maintenance stuff--focusing on building bike power, building up for a half-marathon in September (really more of an excuse to do long runs than anything else--I like to do them and Mom likes to follow on the bike ), trying to get back to swimming as I can. I think that especially with a new job starting in late August, working with a coach will add enough accountability to keep me consistent. At times in my life I've gotten so caught up in work that not just fitness but (in my view ) physical and mental heath have suffered.
Plus another very painful PT session. I was actually screaming. Not sure why but some of the passive ROM feels a lot worse than the initial injury. I had to do some driving around town before PT this morning so maybe everything got tighter than usual. Ugh. Edited by Hot Runner 2019-06-25 7:50 PM
