4:55 AM - 1 hr 40 minute run. Well...this was supposed to be an hour and forty minutes to run to build on last week's 90-minute run, but it was reduced to a run walk. About 30 minutes into this I started to do 10 seconds walking at every mile. Then, that grew into 20 seconds walking every mile. After 75 minutes I was spent. It is no longer cool in the morning. At 4:55 AM it is 70-75 degrees F. with heat indexes of 80-85 deg F. I am not quite adjusted to the summer temperatures yet. I also may have been sluggish due to having non-training days for three day in the last week or maybe it is just that I still am not transitioning well from short training stuff to long training stuff. Well...at least I got the time in. If I stick with these they will get easier.
I am so lucky here in Idaho! A hot morning is probably high 60's, even when it gets into the 90's later. It actually was hot (but dry) here, but all indoor workouts. 2000 yard swim this morning; one hour trainer ride with some high cadence pickups afternoon. Plus a lot of stressing about real estate--don't ask!
