Subject: HowdyI cant believe I am even doing this (TRI ). two years ago I stood 5'10", 449#'s, and in very bad health. My doctor said if I want to live, I had to change my life. after consultation with the doc and dietician I joined weight watchers and began losing the pounds. in eight months lost 100#.
last Oct. I did the MS tour 150. while training for the tour I met some triathletes in our area and they took me under their wing and helped me train for the tour. Dr Dan kept pushing me to try a TRI. the more I thought about it I said why not!! So here I am training for a sprint tri in May and I must say I am really getting into the challenge.
I found a swim coach and am learning how to swim.
PS i have now lost over 200#. run 11 min miles. 18 to 22 mph on the bike, and growing my swim distance, not concentrating on the time yet.
