I am likely coming up on Thursday evening.  We were originally going to stay at the Clarion, but it looks like we are going to cancel our room to save cash.  A friend of mine and his wife live just off the bike course by the BP in Verona, so I will likely be staying there Friday and Saturday night and stay at my brother's place on Thursday and Sunday which is about 5 blocks south of Camp Randall.  I would rather do lunch than dinner on Saturday.

Well, if it "Best" Western, then they are stating that there are at least three Westerns, so, then of the 3, the one you will be at is the "Best" Western, so one of the other two has to be the "Worst" and not "worse".

Sat. morn I'll be with my kidlets for the kids' race, for sure.  Are you signing up for that?

Do we want to restrict it to Donkai only or include other BT'ers, too?

Methinks my hotel arrangements cover Friday/Sat/Sun nights, and I'm planning to take the whole day off Friday, so....could be available for anything as early as Friday. BTW, I'm out a ways on 151...didn't get a nearby hotel.

I am staying on North on 151 for sat and sunday night...    saving cash on friday night.

It is a hampton in or something like that but I stayed there in 06 when my Dad di Moo and they had the most comfortable hotel bed that I have ever slept in.

We're doing the kids race on Saturday morning, for sure.

If any of you donkai need a place to crash still, I have a blow up mattress and a living room floor. Or a basement, if you don't mind unfinished basements. Or a futon on a front porch. Or a futon moved to the basement. Or the top bunk above a 6 year old. You get the idea.

I could probably be talked into hosting a cookout or late brunch on Saturday, as well.

Not doing the race, but volunteering for three shifts - I would love to meet up with some of you beforehand.  Also, if needed we have extra room in the basement - near Madison in Fitchburg (unless KimK takes me up on the previous offer!)

I also have a room that could be used.  However, we're a good 30 minutes from downtown madison so it isn't the greatest location.

I have a queen size blow up bed also, if someone needs to borrow it. Its pretty comfy. So if anyone has floor space, feel free to borrow the bed to take out "that way"!

I'm up for lunch, dinner, whatever on Saturday.  We'd had U2 concert tickets in Chicago that night, but we've sold them off.  We also have room at our place if any Donks need a place to stay (please read the label warnings).

RELAXATION WARNING: THREE CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 6 MAY CAUSE EXTREME STRESS OR LACK OF SLEEP.

I went by time more than by street. I wanted to get my volunteer gig done early so I could go yell my fool head off wherever I wanted for the rest of the day.

We are headed up friday afternoon, so no Gatorade swim that morning for me.  We will be staying at the Clarion, as well.  I would offer to hi-jack the bull horn, but I LOVE the bull horn, so that won't happen.

We will be there until Monday morning.

I am up for anything on Saturday.  Hell, screw the race, lets all go to the Kollege Klub and tear that place down

now this is the type of pre-race festivities i could get into...!!!

i'm thinking for saturday... we start with the badger game... bloody marys and beers before hand down at the regent street bars...  then after the game go to the memorial union...  hang out on the lake and have a few 60 ounce beers... hit up the kollege klub (i used to live there back in school)...  make our way down to state street brats... then bar hop our way down state street until we end up at the essen haus...  there we can do boots of beer until the race starts... i may have a slight hangover for volunteering that next day... but i'm willing to suck it up...

come on ironpeople...!!!  watcha got...?!?

Damn Ben, if I was still a drinkin' man I'd be all over that itinerary. In a past life, I have traveled down that exact path...including the Big Ten Pub, the Church Key, etc.

I'm volunteering on the run portion, but won't be able to make the Saturday events. Hope to see as many of you on Sunday as possible. I may be asking for cell phone #'s (via PM) so that I can find some people Sunday after my shift.

i know those well...  i'm impressed...  the church key is far less known to most...  had a buddy who tended bar there.. so it was a frequent stop...  don't recall leaving there very often though...

I was thrown out of the Church Key on my 20th birthday(way back when the drinking age was still 18) for being too drunk (and puking on the dance floor).
