College Bowl Games '08

I would LOVE to see Florida vs. USC!!!  Agree that it won't happen because the cards won't line up this year, but boy, that would be a game.  My prediction is USC 154, Florida 3

For me, all I care about is that my Arizona Wildcats are going to a bowl for the first time since trouncing Nebraska in the 1998 Holiday Bowl (yes, 1998 ... 10 miserable years!)!!

It may be 10 years since you went (and won) a bowl game...but just be thankful you are not an ND fan....15 years without winning a bowl game....(i love it as I cannot stand ND!!! )

My FSU pick is only out of loyalty to my team.  They need a lot of help too. (FSU beats Maryland, BC beats Wake, Maryland beats BC...I think that would get FSU to Tampa...maybe)

I agree...but late season loss always have a worse effect.  If Ok. beats tech., I think Tech will fall below USC.  This could change if it's a close game and Ok. wins on say a last minute field goal..but I really think that anything like a 7 or 10 point loss and Tech will fall below Texas.

But then again it is the BCS and anything is possible.

Good points.  As mentioned in another thread, I really do believe that USC and Florida are the best two teams in the country despite bad losses.  So what, they didn't get it done and if they're left out, so be it.  But I still think it would be a shame if Texas jumps Tech no matter what happens ... but that's the way this stupid system works, I guess.

Other years, not so much, but this year I think a playoff would be a lot of fun.  That or a round round robin type of tourney. 

Yeah, three crushing defeats in a row by SEC teams would really cement your school and conference's reputation.
