Consistency Challenge for the off season.

30 minutes a day minimum no days off.

We increase this in December.  Anyone up for it?

Wow, not sure I can pull it off but I'd like to have a challenge to get me off my butt. Anything goes for the 30 minutes?

If any type of aerobic/resistance training is allowed I'll go for it.

Just found out the other day I tore a ham string muscle (in Aug) and the perscription is to rest it, stretch it, and ice it. However I am allowed to do minimal,  ie - easy, level running, and non aero position, easy bike riding as well as swimming, and core strength training.

Sorry, didn't mean to turn this into a "me" thing.

Anything of value to triathlon such as stretching, yoga, pilates, strength training, swim, bike, run.  My tango dancing won't count nor will my poker games.

I'm in.  I'll do something before midnight.  Starting slowly by sitting in class...but hopefully I can squeeze something in between class and dinner!

I'm up for it even though I'm in Kelowna for a 2 months. I checked out the Kelowna running club like you guys said and holy crap!! they are fast. One girl has won the victoria 1/2 4 times. They jog at 4:50km which is my race pace.. At least I'll get faster

Honour based challenge - record in our journals?

And why don't we post once a week with a list of our achievements etc? And to encourage one another?

Yeah we can report in here.  I'm looking forward to hearing some excuses I can give to my coach.  I broke my back doesn't quite cut it.  Anyways it's 10:06 pm and I haven't done mine yet.  Seriously my back is hooped.  It's going to take me half an hour just to get on my trainer.......

Yes its not too late to start.  You can Start on Monday at the latest but the challenge is to go four consecutive weeks without days off.  Maybe for December we can increase that to 45 minutes a day with one day off per week.  The idea here for this challenge is to maintain consistency and also I want to learn some excuses to tell my coach if I miss a day.

I think I did too.  A major photocopy screwup ended up filling my afternoon (you just can't rely on other people to be competent anymore) and so I ended up taking the dog for a VERY BRISK AND LONG walk in the evening.

I don't suppose that counts...

Actually I think LONG BRISK walks should count. So long as that's not all we ever do.
Tonight I'm doing video podcast Yogamazing Episode 144 Yoga for Runners.

Nov. 1 5.5 km run 40:49
Nov. 2 Yoga for Runners plus stretching 30:00

Even though I feel like 20lbs of crap stuffed into a 10lb bag, and it is the third, since I was out of the country, can I still get in on this action?? I fear with the abuse the temple went though over the past weekend, if I start up the engines I may have core melt-down...which reminds me of something that didn't happen in Vegas this weekend....*shaking head*.

Vegas is an evil place and I hope I never have to go back.

Hahaha Well done Chris

All my buddies want to go to Vegas in the New Year.  Don't scare me out of it! :P

I'm in for the challenge, just as long as I can make things work on this weekend since I'll be at my dad's place in Campbell River, but we'll probably go biking!

I'm definitely in though!

I do about 35 hours a week of yoga - does that count??!!?? .... I do nothing else. 30 minutes a day is a warmup.

I don't even think I should be on this forum anymore - except that you guys are addictive like Orville Reddenbachers popcorn or YellowTail Bubbly - I just can't seem to get enough - and suddenty the bottle is empty and I'm drunk! Dammit!
