Subject: Spring

It's sleeting and about to snow here. I miss being able to sit outside after work. I hate having to wear gloves when I fire up the BBQ. I especially hate wearing tights, freezing my n*ts off for the first few miles of my runs, and having snot all over my gloves. I don't care how good SOA is, the trainer is boring and the treadmill is worse.

I WANT SPRING ALREADY.

Brian.. It sounds like you are recovering good? Glad to hear you are able to go out and freeze your nuts off  while running in the cold :=

Actually 40's in Florida feels arctic.. for some reason.

And I grew up in Wisconsin.

I spent two years living in Minneapolis. NEVER AGAIN!!! Had a blizzard on Halloween...

I'm doing great, thanks. Still some pain but the pain of not training and racing would be much worse

I didn't think I could say nuts, but, well, nuts to that! Five years in Michigan, but even though it was much colder we didn't have this depressing gray slush. It was sunnier and when it snowed, it SNOWED.

I ran Monday morning in shorts when it was 21 outside(I thought it was going to be closer to 32ish and it was very short). Suck it up!

Hmmm, you're about my dads age(according to race reports) but he was only 20 when I was born, so maybe not quite your kids age.

I actually wished I had my tights on during that run and it was only 20 minutes.

You live in Tampa, you're not invited to this party. This is the old, cold, grumpy, northerners party.

I am with you Brian, weather down here in Baltimore sucks too! I cannot wait for spring to get here and be able to ride outside. Good news is that according to the weather channel, it should warm up over the weekend to close to 60 down here so the temps should be close up in Philly too.

Iowa weather not any better.  Flying to Florida in about a week to visit and see what warm is like.  I hate the drainer and dreadmill, but that is what gets me through the winters.

March 14th of last year.....

Daffers are my favorite flower. I did photos for a Mother's Day gift of my kids sitting in a field of them at the Michigan botanical gardens. There are some in a vase in my kitchen right now.

To me they really mean spring is here.

The other harbinger of spring means being able to enjoy a good cigar.

Blizzards on Halloween are rare enough to stick in your memory?  How cute  Smile

We've had solid snow cover since Oct 3.

Mine too! These pics were taken at my MIL's were she has been planting bulbs for over 40 years. I would love to get a real photographer out there who could truly capture the beauty of her yard.
