Hi, I'm wondering if anyone is selling a used men's road bike. My boyfriend is about 6'0" and has never ridden a bike before! Especially anyone in the South Florida area? PM me...thanks!

Your boyfriend never rode a bike??????  Holy snapping a**holes, was he raised by wolves!!!!  :-)

Seriously though Lisa, his best bet is to go to the local bike shop and get fitted for a bike.  Once he knows what size bike he needs, then he can shop around the local bike club classifieds for a good second hand bike.   I am 6' tall and ride a 58 so he will probably ride something along those lines depending on his inseam and the length of his arms and torso.

Thanks for the input. And yes, he has never ridden a bike before. I think he rode a BMX bike way back in the day, but not recently. So it was pretty funny to watch him tonight at the LBS. He wound up buying a Giant OCR1, '03 model for a decent price ~$500. Got a helmet, padded shorts, and a bike computer. He'll do the clipless pedals down the road. I'm so psyched I have a biking partner now. I've been looking forward to riding with someone- riding alone gets boring, and it's safer to bike in a group, I think. Soooo, we'll be posting pics of our dueling Giants soon...
