Subject: Turbo Trainers - wahoo kickr versus Tacx Bushido Smart Trainer (wireless)
Hello all

Due to my location, weather and air pollution makes it difficult to cycle outside, so I want to order a good quality power trainer.
I've narrowed it down to 2. The kickr and bushido smart trainer. For the kickr you are looking to spend almost a 1000 pounds (UK) sterling. I have to order internationally so it is a little more expensive for me, they add tax.
The Bushido is half the price, and it seems it can do a lot of what the kickr could do. Having said this, there are mixed reviews for the Tacx Bushido, some think it is great, some think not so great due to the software not functioning appropriately, apps and software crashing.

What do you think?

Go with Kurt kinetic and Trainerroad subscription. Take the money you save and buy other gear.

The KICKR is well worth the $650 price increase over a KK Road Machine.  Used the KK for years and switched to the KICKR when it came out two years ago.  Far better, IMO.

How do you want to use the trainer?  Is the plan to ride structured workouts as the majority of your rides, or are you more interested in using the Real Life Videos from Tacx?  I have an old Fortius trainer and used to ride the RLV's a fair bit, but now follow a much more structured training plan and use Catalyst more and only use the RLV's sparingly.
