I am still easing back into training. two weeks off didn't completely derail me, but I definitely feel like back at the beginning of my building phase. So...just a 5 mile run this morning. It was 23 deg F but felt great.
I will likely get another 3 miles this evening at youth running club.
Travel day for me. Headed to Augusta to stay with family for a half marathon tomorrow morning. Gonna be below freezing which has me questioning what to wear.
Did an easy 5k run last night to keep everything moving.
I'm just trying to get back into shape again but in years past I did lots of sub-freezing runs in just shorts and a t-shirt. The usual advice is to plan to feel cold at first and warm up as you run. Probably the best idea is if you can warm up with a jacket and then leave it somewhere before you start. I did countless runs where I'd wear a windbreaker for the first 5 or 10 minutes and then roll it up and tie it around my waist for the rest of the run. If it's really cold, you might want a headband to cover your ears but gloves always seemed to come off just like the jacket.
Hoping to get some running in at lunchtime today, coming up soon here.
