If those are my only choices, then Condi. I still think the Democratic pary missed a golden opportunity in the last election. I also personally believe that the Democratic party is a party in major disarray. They don't seem to have a clear picture of the parties stance. It looks as if they are simply anti-republican rather than developing a strong well defined party platform. Whether you like the platform or not the Republican platform seems to be far more defined. I'll take someone who stands for something over someone that I have no idea what they stand for everytime, well almost everytime.

I don't think either will get there party's nomination. But If some how they both were on the ticket, Condi would win the Electoral College and Clinton would win the popular vote.

McCain will never win the republican nomination, he would have to run unopposed.

I'm registered as a Dem, but I'd jump fence in a heartbeat if McCain ran.

He's one of the few politicians that I respect and that I feel stands for what he believes in, not for what the polls tell him is popular.

I'm a fan of neither Condi or Hillary.  Both play the political "game" too much and seem guided by opportunistic attacks and/or polls.

But he could win the democratic nomination with ease - and would be the shot in the arm that party has needed for the last decade.

I'm not sure. Whats his stance on Abortion, I'm not sure? Abortion and Enviroment would be death to his democratic nomination.

I'm not sure either - my opinion is that whatever his views, he would respect others right to have views as well.  He garners more respect than anyone else in either party... FROM both parties. I would consider myself a liberal and a right to choice kind of dude, but right to choice is not my sole reason for voting for a candidate, nor is party affiliation -  despite the delineation created the life/choice camps.

In my view, people think right to choice and right to life are integral to your political leanings simply because the right to life/right to choice parties, through the media, have been telling us that it is so. It's an instance of creating a certain paradigm and then making you decide within that paradigm - it does not have to be your only choice because someone says it is your only choice. I'm not saying it is not a consideration, but it's not the only consideration.

More "souls" have died in the last year as a result of the war in Iraq than due to abortion, so I would consider that (among others) to be a more pressing issue.

i agree with you. especially BC here in california in the 90s with prop 187 and 209 the large latino block of voters felt that those were 'republican' initives, they voted in landslide margins in support of the Democrats. In the 2004 election i was saw many "viva bush" stickers; which is a latino outreach. here in a 'the president sucks' election time, the republicans wooed away a previously loyal block of votes into splitting.

i said it going into the election, that the platform "im not bush" would loose the election, and that the Democrats had they had a real focus could have won, easily. but as history shows, they failed to win. if they know what is good they will begin to change their energy and realize the fallowing:
-bush can't run again
-chaney doesnt have it to to president (speaking in terms of winning an election)
-both dems and republicans are on fair footing
-to win, they need to stop dissing bush, and start the ground work for the promotion of their own. (they need to be talking about themselfs, and whats so great about the individual dems)
-lay the goundwork now, and transition into a win.
-and to be true to their 90s hayday; put a woman up (at least for VP [dont let the republicans beat you too it])

Nah.  There is a possibility of her bouncing off and still living.  How about walking into a tail rotor?  Or maybe the prop of a C-130?  Or a room full of Texans? Definitely something that would leave no chances.

I was worried for Hilly until the Texan part. She'd run circles 'round those Texans; they'd be baking cookies for her before the tangle was done.

Having spent enough time with the Cattleman's Association for them to speak freely around me, I sincerely doubt that.  She'd be mixed into the feed before anyone knew she was missing

They'd make oatmeal cookies which she would throw at them and say "Oatmeal?! Oatmeal?! I want chocolate chip!!!" then they'd scurry off and try again.

Nope.  She would be ground up and added to the feed, which they would then label "Closet Lesbian (not that there is anything wrong with that) carpet bagging feed.  Only use for cows requiring high-fat, foul mouthed, high-bitchiness diet"

Personally I'd like to see Obama vs. McCain.

Their politics are as distinct as can be, but their integrity, vision, brains, and genuine good will towards all Americans are indisputable. I believe either one would be a president that the whole country could be proud of.

On second thought, neither would get my vote, but I'd still like to see them mix it up in the octagon!
