If those are my only choices, then Condi. I still think the Democratic pary missed a golden opportunity in the last election. I also personally believe that the Democratic party is a party in major disarray. They don't seem to have a clear picture of the parties stance. It looks as if they are simply anti-republican rather than developing a strong well defined party platform. Whether you like the platform or not the Republican platform seems to be far more defined. I'll take someone who stands for something over someone that I have no idea what they stand for everytime, well almost everytime.
i agree with you. especially BC here in california in the 90s with prop 187 and 209 the large latino block of voters felt that those were 'republican' initives, they voted in landslide margins in support of the Democrats. In the 2004 election i was saw many "viva bush" stickers; which is a latino outreach. here in a 'the president sucks' election time, the republicans wooed away a previously loyal block of votes into splitting.
i said it going into the election, that the platform "im not bush" would loose the election, and that the Democrats had they had a real focus could have won, easily. but as history shows, they failed to win. if they know what is good they will begin to change their energy and realize the fallowing:
-bush can't run again
-chaney doesnt have it to to president
(speaking in terms of winning an election
)
-both dems and republicans are on fair footing
-to win, they need to stop dissing bush, and start the ground work for the promotion of their own.
(they need to be talking about themselfs, and whats so great about the individual dems
)
-lay the goundwork now, and transition into a win.
-and to be true to their 90s hayday; put a woman up
(at least for VP [dont let the republicans beat you too it]
)
