Subject: RE: Phineas and Ferb ...This is a solid show for kids, and only tangentially a ripoff of Ferris Beuller, the most overrated movie ever. The key theme of Bueller is blowing off school for "catching life", while Phineas and Ferb are all about filling up there limited summertime with as much life as possible. Not a subtle difference. You get the impression that P&F do well in school and relate well with the adult world while maximizing their youthful fun. Bueller, on the other hand, is one skipped day away from failing his senior year, dodges his parents authority, treats all adults as though they are morons, causes the wreck of a friend's dad's vintage car and gets the other guy to accept the fall as some sort of character building exercise........ughhhh. All this while having only the con mans skills of getting other people to do stuff for him. P&F are talented and work hard. Beuller is an underachieving schmoe. |
