I didn't, was on a flight home. Unfortunately the pilot interrupted my nap to announce the score of the game. I was not happy. I don't like to be woken up from naps without a good reason.

I left the TV tuned to the Superbore but I wasn't really watching. I was fussing with the trainer, moving boxes around, washing fruits, surfing web etc. Occasionally, I changed to Beauty and the Geek marathon.

We usually have more trauma patients on Superbowl Sunday than New Year's Eve, and this year we had twice as many. So I was mostly down in the ER until 9 or so. I caught the 4th quarter at my favorite sushi bar, which was basically empty. Who knew Superbowls and sushi don't go together? Had it all to myself...

HIJACK:

Has anyone here ever noticed how wrapped up some folks can get in TV and celebrities lives in general?  At work the talk is ALL ABOUT what's on TV, what's happening in whatever show, then it moves on to the whole Jen/Brad/Angelina thing or whatever the current front page of US magazine is.  I mean, people sit there and speculate on why so -and so- is with him or her, how long it will last, and "Oh, you just knew they would break up.  He couldn't possibly stay with her becuase of ..." whatever.  As if the people talking were personal friends with all these celebs and know what they are thinking, etc etc.

I don't get it.  Isn't there enough going on in the world to be concerned about without wasting SO MUCH brain space on that stuff?  Or at least enough going on in people's own lives?

Sorry, rant over.

Oh, and all those who posted on Max's "Lance and Cheryl" post are of course excluded from this rant.  I'm not talking about your basic male/female drooling here.   Lance is welcome to stop by....(Sorry Markk, you know I love you   )

We did that, too. No one was there.  It was great!

I did have the game on as background noise while I was doing homework.  The only parts I really watched were the commercials.

I don't watch any sports programs - except I WILL be tuned into some Winter Olympics events.

I did catch a commercial for ESPN on your cellular phone (?). The caption said something like "For the Sports Nut/Fan" and I was thinking "a sports nut wouldn't be sitting on his/her asss watching other athletes performing, he'd be out doing some sport."

one.. he's 7..  but we were with his cousins who are 5 (boy) and 18 months (girl)..  so yesterday was a day of 'they are stupid'  'i don't want HER to touch my stuff'  'he's such a baby'  'this doesn't taste like my bologna'  'i don't want chocolate milk..  i want strawberry milk'  'i hate you'  'daddy is stupid'  'i'm a loser'  'i'm an idiot'  'i'm a di&k head' (learned that in school)..  yeah this list goes on..  even a 2 hour nap didn't help..

he usually is pretty good..  yesterday just seemed to every bad behavior poped out at once..

i swear he acted like he was 2 and not 7 yesterday..  maybe it's because he's an only child..

Nope, it's not because he is an only child.  I have a 7 year old who occasionally reverts back to 2 year old behavior too.  The other day he has a tantrum because his sister was sitting in "his" chair.  It's the wierdiest thing to see him go from acting like a big guy to a baby.  I just tell him to go have his fit in his room with the door shut  for as long as he wants and to come out when he is ready to act his age.  And he acts the same way as your son when his cousins are over - "They can't touch any of my stuff.  They'll break it!".  Makes for a fun time.
