Subject: deep front wheels?
I'm going to purchase a set of race wheels for my bike, and am not certain on the best choice for the front.

I'm between a Stinger/jet 6 and a Stinger/Jet 9.  I would grab the 9, but I'm wondering how hard it will be to control that thing in the wind.  I'm 142 lbs at race weight, and will average about 24 mph for 40km.

Anybody have any experience with these wheels?

160lbs here. No problems riding a Jet 60 in the wind.

Stinger/Jet 9

Go deep or go home.

Can you try them before you buy them? Many shops have a rental program so you can test out the wheels before you drop some serious money. I personally don't like a deep wheel in the front (I use a Zipp 404 in most situations). I had a 66 deep wheel in the front before I got the 404 and I HATED it.

What is your plan for the rear wheel?  If you are planning to run a disc or disc cover, I would look at the 90mm rim up front; otherwise, I would probably go with the 60/90mm combo as having a slightly deeper rear will improve handling in windy conditions.
