Subject: Race Across America - MD team is in the lead!

Check out the latest leader boards and the blog for Race Across America, a cycling race taking place right now. Maryland's own team AFC (Adventures for the Cure) is on pace to break the 2-person record of 19.8mph across the country. The race starts in CA and finishes in Annapolis, MD.

Note: They are going to auction off the 4 bikes used in the race, 2 road bikes and 2 TT bikes, really nice. Go to the AFC web site for info on the auction, starting bids are around 17K.

I remember the team last year rode fixies all the way through the race. They are out of Princeton Sports and most of them were involved in the Weds. night group rides that Princeton hosted.

Good for them!! They've got the experience and they are using geared bikes this year.
