Subject: Constant Injuries and Illness...It seems like all this year I've either been injured or sick.
I have had a torn achilles so have just begun return to run 2 weeks ago, a 4 month lay off from running, my favourite of the 3 sports.
It seems I can't seem to put any period of 2 weeks together of training without my body breaking down or my immune system and me becoming tired, sick and frustrated.
I take 1-2 days off per week and try to train 9-11 times per week.
I'm just getting extremely frustrated with training and just can't seem to get any consistency at all. I'm swimming 3-4 times per week for 1 to 1.5 hours and then cycling 3-4 times, 1-2 hours 3 times a week then a longish bunch ride in the weekends.
What should I do, I want to enjoy training and get the most out of it. Should I cut back on the amounts of trainings I have? Or the length of each workout? i.e. swim and bike only 3x per week max? Or shorten the swims and bikes to half or 2/3 of the time I'm doing now.
