Interesting article.  Like everything else in sports, trends come and go.  When carbo loading was first lauded, there was a ton of articles and proof it worked.  Now, they start to study it with new technics and tell us it does not.  Since I often eat very little or not at all before a race, I think this article is spot on!  LOL.  I bet if you google, you will find articles supporting cabo loading with scientific proof.

the impt point in my view is that everybody has their OWN FORMULA for what works. We have to learn what that is.

Agreed. One of my favorite pre-race breakfasts is powder sugar donuts, but I've also been known to eat a banana nut muffin, cereal, toast, coffee, etc...

What you eat before your long training days is what you should eat before your race.

I eat powdered donuts too!  All I can eat that early in the morning during set up of transition.
