Subject: My tri Bike Initiation!

My husband (JKBostic) and I went bike shopping this afternoon.   I have been riding a mountain bike and he has an ebay special.  So we have been shopping around.  We finally find an awesome guy at Inside Out sports.  He does the whole measurement thing and everything.  They have a few bikes that fit, but not in the price range.  So he puts a Quintana Roo Tequilo (around $1995.00) up for me to try out.   Now I have to buy a pair of shoes (which I am all for) also pedals and get them attached before I can try it out.  I spend about a half  hour on the trainer with him adjusting and letting me get the feel of it.  Feels great and he goes on to do Jeff's.  I take my shoes off as they feel strange and I am not at all comfortable in them yet.  He gets Jeff all set and then takes them both off the trainer.  Gets out a helmet for both and starts telling us their normal test drive loop.  I am thinking okay it can't be much different then the mountain bike!  We go out and there are cars everywhere.  I tell Jeff I will follow you because I wasn't listening to the guy and I have no idea where to go.  We take off and go up to the first light to turn left.  There is a car at the light as well.  Jeff is in front of the car and I am behind it.  We come up to the light and the car stops.  I start to slow down and I hear from out front "don't stop keep going."  Wise and sage advice considering I am clipped in for the first time ever.  Of course it comes a bit too late as I am already falling.  I wiped out!  I not only fell, I took out a $1995.00 bike and got to give it BACK!
