Subject: RE: don't transport items if requested by a stranger Never a stranger, but once, on a business trip, I had a field-level manager hand me a pre-wrapped gift for her supervisor, who worked at my office. It was right as I was hurrying out the door to catch my flight, and she handed it to me and said, "Oh, I forgot, can you give this to Ray when you see him?" I took it from her and stuffed it in my carry-on bag without a second thought.
Naturally, when I got to security, they asked me what was inside, and, of course, I had no idea. I muttered something like, "Um...it's kind of hard to describe it," and evidently, that was good enough for the TSA agent who gave it back to me without another word.
