Nickname Jerseys in the NBA

Pro  5761     Bartlett, TN |  Subject: Nickname Jerseys in the NBASaw it this morning where the HEAT players wore jerseys with their nicknames on the back of their jerseys instead of thier last names like normal. LeBron=King James Chris Anderson= Birdman R Allen= J Shuttlesworth Not a big fan of this. I also saw where the Celtics did it also one time while playing the Heat. Not sure if all NBA teams are doing this (Have not seen this from my Grizzlies yet). Not a big fan of it (Of course, I know no one watches NBA until the playoffs, and then it is spotty at best) |

The even bigger break with tradition is the sleeved version of jerseys. I have not heard one player say they like them - intuitively, it seems like the sleeve would inhibit your shooting stroke and they look funny, to boot. Shameless ploy to shift a few extra units? Si. |

They look ridiculous. If I was of the jersey buying age, there is no way I would buy a sleeved versus sleeveless jersey to rock out in public.
