I didn't get to train yesterday and today was rapidly coming to a close. I really wanted to run. My plan was to do a LSR this morning, but kids,etc changed that plan.

Now I have lived in Arizona for 30 years. So I must ask, what the hell was I thinking going for a run on the pavement at 4pm in August with a temperature outside over 106? Oh, and don't forgoet the humidity added in (it's not always a dry heat).

It was hot, but I made it. I could only do about 3 miles, but I kept it under 26 minutes.

This tri thing is so addictive.....

Story of my life! There are plenty of days I have tortured myself at 110 degrees here in Vegas, all in the name of training.....

Just think about Jan. and Feb. when eveyone else in the country is snowbound and spinning on some indoor trainer or treadmill and we get to put 50 miles on a REAL bike with just a light jacket on!

Come on, winter!!!!!
