If you want to post your totals here, feel free, but I'll go around to blogs and collect information - probably on Sunday night or Monday morning.  I'll let you know for sure when I find out exactly what the paramaters are for reporting.....

GO RED!

Yay Red team!!!!

Good luck everyone!  When I figured my goals, I figured I can make it to the pool Mon, Tues and Thurs and swim for 30 minutes.  Not counting New Year's Day when the pool was closed that leaves 13 days to swim.  I have never made it to every swim day in one month.  I am already anticipating having to skip next Tuesday because of the football game Monday night.  So if I can swim for 45 mins on two Monday's (a longer swim is only possible on Monday's) then I can make up the time.          Now I just have to figure where to put an extra run because next Tuesday is scheduled to be a run day too.  oops!  Darn football!

Might need my teamies to get on my A$$ if I fall behind.

GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Diane

My shoulder has been bothering me but is slightly improved so I think I ought to make the 10 hours.  Running is going to be very doable. I have 50 minutes for the run tomorrow and 2 hours the next day!  Go Big Red!

LETS KEEP IT UP TEAM RED!!!!

It's been a crazy work schedule this week but I'm not slackin'!! Persistance will pay off, just don't hit the snooze button!!

For anyone looking for swimming drills, and your goal is minutes of swimming and not yds of swimming, try sculling!! It's a great way to develop feel and balance in the water and will improve how efficient you are in the water!!

I am open to any running tips or secrets to stay on track!! I'm starting to enjoy it a little but would rather be on my bike!!

 GO RED!!!

Okay, for this swimming rookie, can you point me in a direction that explains "sculling"?

My friend Sue and I are swimming tonight at 8pm.  I haven't gone to the evening swim in a LONG time.  But it means I don't have to get up at 4:30am tomorrow.

Good job everyone!!!!!  Go RED!

Here is a site that has some sculling drills. You can google "sculling drills swimming" and get some more info as well.

Ok, last week was exactly what this challenge is about for me.  Normally I can swim Mon, Tues and Thurs..  I knew because of the football game that Tues was out.  But I made a way for it to work by going to the pool at times I don't normally go.  So I swam Mon, Wed and Fri..  This challenge has really helped motivate me to get there.  I hope next weeks is successful too because it will involve getting up at 4:30am on Tues and Thurs.  So you all have my permission to inspire me Mon and Wed to tell me to get my lazy a$$ out of bed the following morning!

As for running, my goal is to run 10 runs in one month or about once every three days.  So far I am right on track!  Next month the goal is 3 runs/week or 12 runs in February.

So get out there and swim and run!!!!!  Go RED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2.5 hours of running the last two days and another 30 minutes with my brick tomorrow.  Swimming still hurt by the shoulder.  I might have trouble making the 10 hours for swi, but I'll try.

Great job Diane!  That's what it's all about - having the motivation of a team to get you out the door when you don't really want to go!
