Try this:

http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/cms/article-detail.asp?articleid=480

Before you first import a plan, first see if you can stagger it up or down a few days to see if that makes the swim, bike and runs line up the best.

After that is done, if you need more extensive mods, I would customize your plan per the article above but on a weekly basis.  Schedules are fluid so fine-tuning your training plan for 4 months out is a lot of work especially if something changes.  So every Sunday night or every other Sunday night, before the next week starts, re-arrange your planned training in 1 to 2 week blocks to keep it manageable.  Using the move function, this should take no more than 5-10 minutes per week or two.

Does that make sense?  Please me know if you need some help on this.

Yep!

You can find the 'editing' and 'print' links all from the main 'Programs' page (button at the top).

On the measurements, depending on your goals, it would be cool to take some body measurements and log them in the body metric part of the logger.  Maybe do it on a monthly basis.  Keep track of your weight too weekly or monthly.  Though do it at the same time of day.  After several months go by, you can check out any changes with the reports and graphs.

Sure, RHR is a great metric to see trends and relate to overtraining (your RHR rises when you are overtraining, getting sick).  Some references say a rise in 10% can indicate overtraining and oncoming sickness.  When taking RHR, do it before you even get out of bed for accurate results.  min/avg/max hr are good for individual workouts.  If you are working with HR zones, use the HR zone logger, that is better HR workout info than just min/avg/max:
