Subject: Kona IronmanI did manage to successfully record the Kona IM and I am glad I did. What an inspiring triathlon that was. I especially liked the way the producers highlighted, not only the pro athletes, but the common participants whose only ofjective was to complete the event. I am not very good at remembering names and numbers but I remember the mother who was participating to raise money and awareness of some "whatever" disease her children were suffering from (no sarcasm intended, I just don't remember which one. ). I must admint that my eyes got a bit misty when the young lady with one leg failed to meet the time deadline to go on to the run portion of the tri; my heart goes out to her and I only hope that she tries it again next year. And, of course, that poor guy whose back wheel was totally destroyed in an accident with a motorcycle? What the heck was that all about; could they not give him another wheel? Anyways, this guy is truly inspirational and deserves a medal for his performance. |
