Subject: RE: Need help with bike chain1 ) don't be in the smallest or largest cogs on the rear when you shift to the other ring up front. If I'm in the bit cog on the rear and shift to small up front, I lose the chain. On my 10 speed rear cassette if I'm in 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 I'm okay going to/from either of the front crank.
2 If it's inbetween the two cogs in front and just not caught on either, you can finesse it back to the large cog by peddling slowly and sneaking the friction shifter from small to big.
If it's inside your small cog up front you're pretty much screwed. |
