Got a flat today during race, need advice on a good tire. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I switched to Continental Gator skins after I got 3 flats in 3 weeks.  I haven't flatted since.

I had the liner previously, but ironically have not had flat since taking it out. Depending on your race distance, ,many will argue if it is worth it or not. It can happen to anyone out there and most folks risk a lighter (possibly faster) tire on race days.

Continetal 4,000 are good tires and have treated me great. No issues and use to train and race.

I've taken a page from old RAAM (Race Across AMerica) riders & use Vittoria's Rubino Pro (slick version is a bit faster).  Wears well, handles & rolls decently, and few flats.  IMHO- not quite as durable as Gatorskins, but better ride, handling, and slightly lower cost.

I like the Specialized Pro's. All around good tire and I haven't flat one yet (~5k). I had Continental's and felt they were a bit 'heavy'. Love the Specialized Pro.

Pro Race 3s, no flats since I got em, (3000k ish) and I ride across the city through all sorts of nasty, and even off road. My winter bike has armadillos which are kevlar lined (can stab it with a knife).
