I'm in need of some touch-up paint for my bike. For only having my bike a few months, I have managed to mess it up. First, I have a decent sized bare metal mark on the frame where the paint wore away due to a long ride on a bike rack with other bikes on the way to vacation.

Then, because I did not originally buy the proper shoes and pedals (actually have them both now, but pedals are not yet installed), I have worn down (on both sides) some of the paint on the parts of the crank near the pedals.

I would need black in both cases.

Where does one buy touch-up paint for bikes?

Hah, I'm lucky. We have some local custom bike painters. I have two custom painted bikes, by two of the local guys, and they each gave me some touch up paint when I picked up the bikes.

So are there any local bike builders? You can find out what painters they use. How about an autobody shop?

If you can't find any specific to the bike I bet you can close with paint from an auto-parts store....

I'd check with your LBS or a shop that carries the same brand of your bike. I would think most companies would sell touch-up paint, if not directly to you then maybe to a shop.

When I worked at a bike shop in HS we had touch up paint for all the treks, pretty sure for specialized too. Whoever sales the brand of bike you have in the area should be able to contact the manufacture and find out if they have touch up paint.

Worst case there has got to be something close either at an auto parts store, online auto parts store or even like some Testers Model paint color.
