Well!
Almost that time!
fast & flat, I'm assuming.

Any words of wisdom for those who have done this before??

(just how sharp are those turns on the bike course.....?)

I am in as well!! to battle my swim demons!

The bike and run are both perfectly flat!

The bike has a full turnaround at each end - not too bad, there's actually a little loop at least on the ward's side otherwise there's not much turning at all.   And the run was interesting. A bit of all terrain.  Some sand, some grass, some road.   If you're a female you can expect to be battling crowds at the end. Last year all the women went in the last waves and by the time we were finishing the island was getting packed with the crowds coming over to the beach.

Best of luck! Should be a good day!

See y'all there.

Just hammer the bike.  It's a feel good for the rest of the year PR split.

so how did it go?  I did my first one and came in last (I think) but around 1 hour and 11 minutes.  Under my goal of before the sun goes down   I'm SOOO into this and totally doing it next year!

Congrats on your first!!! Way to go!!

At home resting now after doing today's event.  Really happy that any inclement weather held off.  For me, I did fantastically well!  It was really about the swim and I had a great swim! The rest is just fun. I smiled the whole rest of the way! I didn't find the bike too congested.  I had one jerk on the bike but other than that it was great!

thanks!
still hooked!

the swim & the bike went well, but the run time i wasn't exactly thrilled with.
and it's oddly depressing competing on a looped course!
(especially those 3 trips around the bike course)
YIKES!

and i'm definitely not a fan of running over ANY sand (especially when i'm wiped!)
but i'll be back again next year for sure
(hopefully with a road bike!)

thanks for the encouragement!
