Subject: Sleep Hours

Hi,

On the Training Log Settings, Log Defaults why can't I enter 6.5 as my average hours slept? It seems it will only take 2 characters.

Thanks

It appears that the field is for 2 digit whole/counting numbers.  It would be nice to have allowance of 2 whole numbers, a decimal point, and 2 decimal places, ex. 8.25.

Is this a restriction on the program's setting or a choice to round up or down, ex. 8.5 is 9 hours and 8.25 is 8 hours, to make it easier for calculations?

Yeah, this was an oversight. We'll get it corrected in the next day or so. Sorry about that.

Mike, if I may humbly suggest, I'm a big fan of integration: could you add a way to import sleep data?  I've been looking into getting a Zeo to monitor my crappy sleep patterns, and I found this interesting writeup at DC Rainmaker:

First up, the folks from Zeo introduced a web API that allows application to pull the data from their website (with your consent of course).  This means that in addition to the manual download methods they’ve previously had (like exporting to CSV files), they’ve added  backend processes so that developers can automate access to the data, thus reducing end user overhead. Then, the guys from  put together a free plug-in that not only allows you to gather your basic Zeo sleep information (such as REM sleep, Deep sleep, Wake Time, ZQ Score, etc..), but also lays the foundation for sports integrated analysis of sleep. And that’s where the magic is – the ability to start identifying how your sleep impacts your training.

This allows you to start seeing trends comparing how sleep impacts training, and vice versa.  Previously I tended to do this manually by just entering my hours slept from memory.  But with Zeo, it’s keeping track of that automatically for me, just in the same way thatis keeping track of my training efforts.  Thus, life = simpler.

If there’s one thing that’s become clear to me over the last 8-9 months, it’s just how much sleep impacts training – both the ability to perform, and recover.

In addition to the user interface, the really nice thing about BT's logs is that it is web-based, so it can be accessed from anywhere, on any computer (Mac or PC).  More integration would make it even more awsomely awesome.

I would be the happiest triathlete ever if I could integrate sleep (and power!) into my training logs.

Thanks, windandsurf

Hi,

I just realized that I can type in a sleep time default of "6.5", but it gets saved as "6"!
